The release of a new standard for Organic and Biodynamic Produce last month by Standards Australia is a step in the right direction towards Organic regulation.

However the standard still remains voluntary, like other Australian Standards

So customers still need to check labels and only buy Organic certified products which contain for example the Australian Certfied Organic's "bud" logo.
